NOTA Dismisses Kwesta’s Claims That Having Cassper On Ngud’ Was Phori’s Idea

NOTA blew his own horn on Twitter, claiming that he was the driving force behind the collaboration’s success. “In life you get a few opportunities to propel yourself to greatness… One of the best decisions I’ve made was insisting on having Cassper Nyovest on this song. Even released a day after the anniversary of Doc Shebeleza out of respect to him. We needed it to shake up Fill Up FNB!” Tweeted NOTA.

According to recent information, during Kwesta’s interview on Podcast And Chill with MacG, the rapper disclosed that having Cassper on Ngud’ was not NOTA’s idea.

In an interview clip shared on Twitter by the ThisIsColbert account, the rapper can be heard and seen saying that it was DJ Maphorisa’s idea to have Cassper Nyovest on Ngud’. NOTA responded to the clip as he dismissed the claims labelling them as vulgar and lies. “This is all plain lies… Vulgar disgusting repulsive lies. Rha sies!” NOTA responded in a tweet.

Ngud’ has been one of the biggest songs in SA hip hop ever since its release. This was the song that introduced many people to the vibe Cassper and Kwesta were promoting at the time. Nota stated in a tweet that the song outperformed the gqom craze that was sweeping Mzansi at the time. He claimed that Ngud’ is what started or gave birth to the amapiano sound.

“On this day in 2016 this game changer was released and 45 RPM was reborn in the mainstream. Everyone asks where amapiano started. It began with this record and spread across Tshwane, Ekurhuleni and Johannesburg until it eventually overcame the gqom wave,” claimed NOTA.
