AKA Continues To Justify Himself To The Nigerians Who Accused Him Of Being Xenophobic
AKA Continues To Justify Himself To The Nigerians Who Accused Him Of Being Xenophobic. The xenophobic attacks might have subsided but they left a bitter mark amongst Nigerians and South Africans. Specifically between AKA and some of the Nigerian artists and residents.
During the time xenophobic attacks took place, AKA’s name was brought to the mix on social media by one of Nigerians artist. He revealed tweets that were written by Supa Mega about how he is tired of SA constantly losing to Nigerian in everything.
Debates brew up to a point of Bhova receiving death threats and had the likes of Davido, Burna Boy and Ice Prince speak against him. From then until now, AKA has been trying to justify himself although he made clear that he will never apologize.
As an awarded Pan Africanist, he called for unity and expressed how he has love for Nigeria.
“I just wish there was a way for us all to get along and be great and make sick music ? … hopefully one day is one day.
“We definitely don’t need AFRICA spilt up again and again and again. It’s lame. Some of my best times and music has to do with Nigeria. It’s sad,” he tweeted.
He went on to write about how he spent years introducing other African artists to the South African audience by working with them.
“I spent YEARS introducing my people to artists not only from naija but all over the continent by working with them and traveling there often. And vice versa. Oh well … guess I’ll have to die here in Bryanston.”
