“All of you don’t give a f*ck about women,” Boity Addresses South African Government
“All of you don’t give a f*ck about women,” Boity Addresses South African Government. The recent cases of women and children being raped and murdered has caused anger and disappointment to so many people.
Rapper Boity has been spitting her own fire expressing fury on how the SA government seems to have abandoned women.
Most people feel that the government isn’t doing much to protect women, that is by setting an example that’ll make perpetrators stop abusing. Some even called for death penalty. Boity stated boldly that the government is too focused on protecting rapists and murderers instead of women.
“All of you @GovernmentZA don’t give a fuck about the women of this country!! Nothing!!! We are dying daily and it continues because men have been shown and know very well that our government supports and protects rapists, abusers and murderers!!! @PresidencyZA,” she wrote.
According to an earlier report of this year by The Citizen, Dr Nthabiseng Moleko of the University of Stellenbosch stated the instant rise of the Femicide in South Africa is caused by the government’s negligence.
“The statistics point towards a government and society crippled by an inability to protect women, especially children,” Moleko said. “We clearly need to develop more than just reactive slogans and media responses to incidents of such systemic violations.”
President Cyril Ramaphosa in his State of the Nation address conceded that GBV was “a national scourge” that had to be eradicated – but Moleko said unless there were mechanisms “to track the true extent of the problem and the effectiveness of strategies”, there was a risk of failure.
