Gigi Lamyane Gets Roasted For Stating That South Africans Hate Each Other Too. Gigi has angered a number of social media users recently when she claimed that inspite of xenophobia, South Africans also hate each other.
Lamayne tweeted about the issue of tribalism which South Africans are facing. It is a big problem also that seems to receive a little less attention but Gigi might have raised it at a bad time.
“Let’s be honest, as South Africans, we also hate each other. The tribalism is so real. I remember in school how the Tsonga speaking kids were teased. Self hate is the issue here,” she wrote.
People didn’t react kindly to the tweet and told her that she has a bad timing. At this point there are xenophobic attacks in South Africa and Nigeria which demand positive reactions from public figures.
Gigi’s followers set a good example of the best approach to the situation to be the one by Sho Madjozi. They told her to take a step back because there are much bigger issues to deal with now.
