Nigerians Drag & Threaten To Cancel AKA For Being Allegedly “Xenophobic”
Nigerians Drag & Threaten To Cancel AKA For Being Allegedly “Xenophobic”. Current Xenophobic attacks in South Africa have led to the revisit of past actions by celebrities.
Nigerians have once more taken time out to drag AKA for his past tweets on how he is “tired of SA always losing to Nigeria.”
Back in June during AFCON football games AKA expressed how Nigerians seem to always defeat SA. The bitterness was also rooted from how he has lost out on two BET awards to Davido and Burna Boy.
“I am hurt man this match was bigger than football. The biggest rivalry on the continent. Why do we always have to lose against Naija at EVERYTHING,” tweeted AKA.
When Nigerian rapper by the name of YCee called him out, he justified that he meant the two countries are like sister and brother. He also justified his tweets which were deemed xenophobic by stating that he wore a Nigerian Flag on his music video and during some of his performances.
“South Africa and Nigeria is the continent’s BIGGEST RIVALRY … a SIBLING RIVALRY because we are brothers and sisters … I also hate losing to Australia for fucks sake. Let’s pull together as Africans and stop dividing ourselves. This whole narrative is stupid,” wrote Supa Mega.
Nigerians expressed fury and said they are cancelling AKA accusing him of him being Xenophobic.
