Why Rowlene Didn’t Want Nasty C And Tellaman On Her Album ‘Curtain Call’

Why Rowlene Didn’t Want Nasty C And Tellaman On Her Album ‘Curtain Call’. Ever since Rowlene broke into the industry she has been as the first girl Nasty C signed up on his label Tall Records.

To rid herself of the tag and make a name for herself that doesn’t always involve Nasty C – she decided not to feature him on her upcoming album.

The Boy Bye singer has launched her debut album titled Curtain Call. While most would have expected for it to have features of Tellaman or Gemini Major or even Nasty C, it doesn’t have them. Speaking to TshisaLIVE the 22 year old said she doesn’t want to be boxed and is looking to shine as she is.

“I didn’t even want Junior (Nasty C) on my album because I want people to know me outside of Nasty C, outside of Tellaman, outside of Gemini Major. It is so easy for people to put you in a box or in a group.

“I am in a more mature space. It has been an evolution. That is what I wanted it to be. The album has virtually no features, it is just me. That is the message I want to send to people, that if I wanted to (have features) I can, but I won’t,” she said.

Curtain Call is set to drop next year January 2020.
