AKA Hints Regret For The Beef He Had With Black Coffee. Earlier this month Black Coffee announced that he will be having AKA as one of the performing acts for his upcoming annual Music Is King concert.

It came as a shock to many that they would work on something together considering their history. The DJ and Mega were at loggerheads to a point where Coffee even slapped AKA’s manager. From then it became a typical twar situation which made it seem impossible to ever reconcile.

The heat of this beef carried on for s few years until recently when they decided to place aside their difference to focus on what’s bigger than them – music. When asked why he put AKA on the list, Black Coffee said that he is a great performer.\

“It is not about who sells the most or who is cooler, it is about music. We are trying to create a melting pot of different kinds of music. Whether the artist is big or small, as long as we feel they will bring something to the line-up,” said Coffee.

On a recent interview with TshisaLIVE at the YFM LYFE 2019 concert in Pretoria, he said that when he was entangled on a beef with Black Coffee he was a different person.

“With me and Black Coffee there has always been like this … I don’t know what you want to call it … I think it is growth. I am a different person now than I was then. Back in the days.”
