K.O Explains Why He Wouldn’t Resurrect Cashtime! K.O’s record label Cashtime is undeniably one of the most impactful record labels started by a rapper in South Africa.
The rapper discovered some of the genres biggest talents at the moment with artists like Zingah, Kid X and Moozlie having the stable to thank for their existence in the SA Hip Hop industry. The label had a huge cultural influence from the music to the fashion on the streets.
Unfortunately when the era came to an end, the record label was left divided with some artists leaving because they were not happy with the situation they were whilst under K.O. Some artists till this day consider signing to the label as a mistake they made like Moozlie who tweeted last year calling it an error.
The label founder K.O was recently encouraged by a fan to resurrect the label. He responded saying that he wouldn’t resurrect the label because it has a sufficient catalogue and is now focusing on his Skhanda World clothing line.
“I know but I’m good on resurrecting that as a label, it’s sufficient for the old catalogue – we not releasing new music or signing artists there. @skhandaworld is my main focus now. Watch 2020,” tweeted K.O.
