Family Tree & Ambitious Ent Officially The Leaders Of SA Hip Hop. The independent labels haven’t been around for that long but they have both managed to impact the game in ways that had never been done before.

The labels are homes to artists who have gone platinum with their debut albums which is something we never used to see in SA Hip Hop before Cassper and Emtee. Riky Rick is another artist who managed to do it independently.

Ambitious Entertainment is nominated 18 times and Family Tree is nominated 19 times at this year’s Sout Africa Hip Hop Awards. This is clearly the birth of a new era and we can’t wait to see what Mabala Noise is going to do.
