Rashid Kay Pulls Out Receipts Suggesting Kwesta As The 1st SA Hip Hop Certified Diamond Artist NOT AKA
Earlier this week it came to the public’s attention that Kiernan Forbes famously known as AKA has become the first first SA Hip Hop artist to be Certified Diamond. Rashid Kay has made a point of how the news were wrong to mention him as “first”.
Last year Kwesta shared the successes of his music, basically he laid out a break down of his songs according to the gold and platinum statuses they reached. Mmino feat. TLT went Gold, One Day feat. Psyfo went Gold, Mayibabo feat. Malume & Buckz went Triple Platinum,Ngud’ feat. Cassper 7x Platinum,Nomayini went 3x Platinum, Spirit went 3x Platinum and Ngyazfela Ngawe which went Diamond.
AKA has one 7x Platinum album (Levels),2x Platinum album(Touch My Blood), 5x Diamond song (Dreamworks),Diamond song (One Time), two 8x Platinum songs (The World Is Yours, Caiphus Song), one 4x Platinum song,7 Gold songs.
According to Rashid Kay who fans felt he had agenda against AKA, Kwesta was the first one to reach the 1st Diamond status not Mega.
