Reebok Brand Director Shares Why He Told AKA To Pump His Breaks On Their Sneaker Deal In 2015! AKA has been constantly making some game changing deals throughout his career.
The raper has bagged numerous endorsement deals over the years and has managed to stamp his name on some international deals. Last year, AKA dropped his collaboration with Cruz Vodka which allowed the rapper to make his own signature flavour for the Vodka company.
Now his signature flavour sells throughout the country and some other parts of the continent. Now he has moved on to the next thing on his goals list with Reebok. He will be dropping his sneaker collaboration with footwear company this month.
The move made by the rapper is on the same level as Jay Z previous deal with the company which allow the artists to design their own sneakers.
The Reebok Brand Director recently spoke on how the deal has been in the pipelines since 2015 and has finally come to fruition. In a video which Kiernan and the Reebok brand Director talk about the deal, he reveals that he told the rapper to pump his breaks the first time he brought it up.
First time I met Kiernan back in 2015, we met in Sandton and it was really just for us to get to know each other, get a feel for the potential of a possible partnership. And in that very meeting he already spoke about a sneaker collab you know, and I was kinda like ‘pump the breaks bud, we just hear to see if we can work a deal,” said The Reebok brand Director.
