Emtee Slams Sony Records After Blocking His Collaboration With Nanette. If everything goes according to plan for Emtee this year, the rapper is set to release his highly anticipated DIY3 album. Taking to Twitter (X), the “We Up” hitmaker previously expressed his excitement by announcing that he made a song with one of SA’s exceptional vocalists and songwriter Nanette. To show that the song is special, the rapper made it known that it is his favourite song on his forthcoming DIY3 album. “I just made a song I think is my favourite song I ever made with Nannette,” Emtee said.

Nevertheless, Emtee‘s enthusiasm was quickly dampened when he revealed that the collaboration between him and Nanette was blocked by the Sony record label to which Nanette is signed. Frustrated Emtee voiced his displeasure using strong language, even issuing threats to the record label, daring them to confront him if they had any problems with his criticisms.

“Her label Sony called it off. Bunch of evil and jealous ma’f*ck*s. F*CK EM! If there’s any issues, I’ll DM them my addy and we can rumble,” an angry Emtee said. Nanette has worked with Blxckie on a song titled “Talk To Me” and working with Emtee wasn’t going to be the first time she has worked with an SA Hip Hop artist.

Despite his collaboration with Nannete not happening, Emtee has been working on other features, and SA Hip Hop fans might witness another collaboration between Emtee and A-Reece amongst other big-name SA artists.

The rapper also added that he is going to replace Nannete with another artist named Shannon whom he said he will go ahead and sign her to Emtee Records. “I’m replacing her. Looking for Shannon actually and ima sign her,” Emtee said.
