Cassper Nyovest Explains Why SA Hip Hop Has Had A Bad Year

Cassper Nyovest Explains Why SA Hip Hop Has Had A Bad Year! 2019 has been a rather bad year for SA Hip Hop with Amapiano dominating on the streets.

Despite having a few artists dropping music like Flame, A-Reece, The Big Hash and Nadia Nakai that kept the genre afloat, overall 2019 has been probably one of SA Hip Hop’s worst performing years on the local Hip Hop scene.

A fan recently went on Twitter to start a conversation on why SA Hip Hop has had a slow year saying that people should not blame Amapiano. Cassper saw the tweet and decided to share his 2 cents on the matter saying that people just did not relate to the music.

” Kats are dropping everyday but it ain’t connecting with the crowd. I wonder why,” started the rapper. He then went on to say for now people should just enjoy Amapiano which has been dominating and that he will revisit Hip Hop next year.
