‘I’m Good In South Africa,’ Says AKA On Going International! AKA is undoubtedly one of the biggest Hip Hop artists in the country at the moment.
At a time when a number of SA Hip Hop artists are gunning to go international and trying to make it in America, AKA seems not to be fazed by the whole idea. The rapper is definitely one of the biggest local Hip Hop artists to make his mark in the global world but has been a little more focussed on South Africa over the years.
He was recently interviewed on the Tabooty Drive on 5FM where he revealed that he has no plans to break the American audience. “I’m not, I’m good in South Africa. In South Africa I have everything that I need. I make a lot of money I get to live the best life I need, I get to travel,” said Supa Mega during the interview.
The rapper then went on to explain that he personally doesn’t have aspirations to take over America because he is comfortable with his career in South Africa. AKA has definitely revealed how his core target market is South Africans through his music which is majorly influenced by South African sounds and local references.
