JR Reveals The Names Of The Biggest SA Rappers He Signed On The Record Label He Established 10 Years Ago. It may have taken years for Hip hop to become a predominat genre in Siuth Africa, but when it did, artists were sure to make best of it.

Jr. is one of the artists who have served in the game long enough to make other rapper’s dreams come true. When he go into Hip hop the aim wasn’t just to rap but to invest in the culture by establishing a record label.

He started the label 10 years ago and in the process got to sign some of the biggest names in the industry. The list includes the successful Shane Eagle who is now an independent artist showcasing his skills abroad, Yanga Chief who has recently won Song Of The Year award – signed to Sony and usually the wing of AKA. Aewon Wolf, Beyond Vocal, Jobe London and the late Flabba. All of that is to name a few.

Jr. revealed all this after correcting a fan who only mentioned Jobe assuming that he is the only artist he ever signed.

“Correction “Jr started a record label 10 years ago, signed Yanga Chief, Aewon Wolf, Shane Eagle, Beyond Vocal, Jobe London” to name but a few… but ya been riding the wave since ’09,” tweeted Jr.

The 33 year-old went on to explain how he is never too proud of his successes to a point of bragging.

“Regardless how successful I could be in the music industry, I’m never too proud, You can never be TOO PROUD,” he wrote. “I rememeber driving back from Abu Dhabi with Black Coffee and asking to produce a song on his album, after I had already submitted a song LAST YEAR! NEVER TOO PROUD.”
