Rashid Kay Claims Artists Who Go From Hip Hop To Amapiano Are Culture Vultures Who Kill Music Genres. Rapper and radio presenter Rashid Kay is a firm believer that music genres – are constantly getting murdered by artists who try their hardest to be versatile.

Taking to social media to share his opinion on the matter he stated that such people who jump from one genre to the next are culture Vultures. By this he means they are out to kill the cultures of these genres with their attempts to be the ‘jack of all trades’.

“Music genres are killed by Culture Vultures who were Hip Hop yesterday, Gqom today, and Amapiano tomorrow,” he wrote.

What made the topic interesting was when he got entangled on a back and forth with DJ Marc who called him out for faking his love for Hip hop.

“I’ll believe you really care about Hip Hop the day you stop blocking me from coming to your show on Metro. It’s been four years now. What are you so scared of ? You have nothing to lose by letting me in,” wrote the DJ.

Knowing Rashid as the man who is forever adamant on expressing himself, he hit back on the DJ.

“I don’t know you, don’t know about you, and never heard of you. Please introduce yourself,” replied Kay.
