Although the rapper did not drop a project in 2019, she has been able to stay relevant in the game. This was all through her single titled Popular which features Emtee and being able to trend on social media over her opinions.
The song Popular has been doing well on the radio charts throughout the year and has also gotten a lot of support from the SA Hip Hop fans. It was highly anticipated by fans as Rouge had been promising the visuals.
The visuals for Popular are set in a school setting where Rouge gives a reincarnation of the naughty kids in school getting the most recognition amongst their peers for being entertaining. It also features cameos fro Moozlie and Manu WorldStar who plays the teacher in the classroom.
The other thing that kept Rouge relevant throughout the year was the anticipation for her upcoming album. The album is said to feature AKA, Yemi Alade, Amanda Black and YCEE just to mention a few.
