The South African Hip Hop awards took place Wednesday of this week. And as expected not every nominated act went home with something.
In the category of Lyricist Of The Year nominated mc’s included Reason, Jimmy Wiz, Pdoto, YoungstaCPT and Ginger Trill.
The person to take home this top award was Trill. Who is still overwhelmed at the level of love and recognition he has received.
“Sheeesssh !!! ??♂️? the phone been blinging since Wednesday night , I’m truly grateful for the messages , the wishes and for everybody who taking the time to celebrate with me … I can barely keep up with the mentions ?? ya’ll showed up fa me !! ya’ll the real winners,” wrote Ginger Trill.
Reason’s reaction was referring to Trill “Lyricist Of The Year” on the tweet he posted about their collaboration track, Cashless Society.
There’s no telling if he was mocking him or he too sees him as a lyricist which was doper than him this year.
