Black Twitter’s Reaction To Blaklez Advising Young People To Stop Drinking ‘Lean’. Drinking lean has become a popular act, the bad part is not many people are realizing it’s dangers.
Rapper Blaklez decided to use the platform to let young people know that it’s not a good choice of beverage.
Lean also known as the purple drank is a recreational drug which involves mixing large doses of prescription cough syrup (most commonly promethazine-codeine products, which are classically a deep purple color) with a carbonated soft drink and hard candy.
One artist who just passed away in suspicions of overdosing the drink is American rapper Juice World. Reports stated that he suffered a severe seizure which landed him in hospital and doctors couldn’t save him. It was that incident that triggered the debate around the drug.
Blaklez gave out the advise which was received differently by tweeps who commented on how they felt about both the advise and the drink itself.
