The rap game in Mzansi has been at its pinnacle for the past decade and it has witnessed a slew of talented rappers, both dead and alive.

PdotO is amongst the SA rappers who have massively contributed to the culture. Taking to Twitter, the Pretoria-based rapper claimed that South Africa has the best rappers in the world. “SA got the best rappers in the world,” tweeted PdotO.

The rapper is amongst the crop of rappers from Pretoria who have dominated the game at the highest level. PdotO is amongst the likes of A-Reece, Jay Jody, Blaklez, 25K, Chad Da Don, and Zoocci Coke Dope, amongst others who come from Pretoria.

Recently, the I’m No Vulture chanter recently praised A-Reece who is also from Pretoria for his immense contribution to the culture. “That Achilles Joint is stupid DOPE king!!! that’s rap. love,” wrote PdotO. 

PdotO first gained recognition in the South African hip-hop scene with his debut mixtape, “Street Novelty” released in 2009. His authentic storytelling and lyricism resonated with listeners, earning him a dedicated fan base. He continued to build on this success with subsequent projects like “The Devil’z Playground” and “Under the Sun.”

One of the rapper’s notable achievements was his critically acclaimed album titled “Under the Sun.” Released in 2016, the album featured collaborations with established artists such as Reason, Kwesta, and Blaklez. The project showcased PdotO’s ability to address personal struggles and societal issues through his introspective and emotive lyricism.

Throughout his career, the 38-year-old rapper has been praised for his ability to blend various musical genres, including hip-hop, soul, and alternative sounds. Recently, the rapper dropped a mixtape “Son Of Nomsa” a tribute to his mother which proved yet again his lyrical prowess.
