The debate Of which one is best between Hip Hop and Amapiano in South African music still remains relevant. Fans of the genres have revived the talk expressing which one they think is great and why.
It has been evident now that there’s a high competition between Amapiano and Hip hop. Even so, artists tap into various genres to test versatility, but it has been stated by most that Hip hop artists are making music with the elements of Amapiano to remain relevant. A counter comment to such has always been, Hip hop never lost its relevance.
Hip hop artists such as Nasty c, JR, AKA, Cassper and DJ Zan D have made comments which led to assumptions that they are bothered by how Amapiano is dominating and close enough to ovetake the music scene.
