Kid X Goes Gold For The First Time With ‘Aunty’ & ‘Mntano Muntu’ Singles. Last week was a joyful time for most artists who scooped plaques for going gold and platinum.

One other artist who took home two plaques is rapper Kid X. Two of his singles Mfana KaAunty and Mntano’muntu reached a gold status in just over a year since they dropped. The singles are featured on his SAMA nominated album Thank Da King.

For the first time since he blew up Kid X finally had his singles reach a mesmerizing milestone. Both singles were produced by Makwa, with Chaino Sky and Shwi Nomntekhala as features. X sent a shout out to them appreciating their effort on both projects.

“I’m very pleased to announce that both AUNTY ft @ChianoSky and MNTANO MUNTU ft @only1makwa and @shwinomntekhala (both produced by @only1makwa) have gone GOLD. Thank you all for your continued support. This trully means a lot,” he wrote.
