IFani is amongst the artists who have been involved in a nasty fight with a record label during his time at Sony Music. The award-winning rapper who has quite a number of hit songs under his belt might be facing another challenge with the record label once again.

Taking to Twitter, the Xhosa rapper called out Universal Music for blocking the music video for his track Milli. The rapper stressed in a tweet that he doesn’t understand why Universal blocked his song indicating that the track has been licensed to Sony for the past five years and he also owns it masters.

Dear @UMGSA @UMG MILLI, why block my Milli? Milli was licensed to @SonyMusicAfrica for 5 years. The masters have always been mine. So, why block my YouTube money? (I don’t understand)” Tweeted IFani.

The rapper is now working on a new album and shared his excitement about the new music he is going to release. “Creating 3rd Quadrant Is like making love To my crush. A dream come true. Oh, Zizo!” He wrote.

No official release date has been announced, but he has already performed one of the songs on SABC show Expressions. “Today, I perform new songs from the album On Expressions (SABC nton nton at ngabanxesha PM) 1. INTRO (feat. Naledi Boltina) 2. Lidlozi Lilo feat. El Nino The rest, you’ll get when the album drops.” Tweeted IFani.
