The rapper recently went on Twitter after he had been nominated for the SA Hip Hop Awards to share his concerns about award ceremonies. He dragged award ceremonies for the way in which they are judged and explained why he does not believe in their legitimacy anymore.
According to Stogie T, very few people accept the legitimacy of the award ceremonies and they are meaningless in what gets the most traction which is mostly what musicians wear. “I think these things were meant to shine a light on the genius and artistry in our industry but instead are distracting,” read one of Stogie’s tweets.
He then went on to ask a rhetorical question of whether he is just bitter about not winning and shared his opinion on having the fans vote rather than a panel of judges.
