DJ Clen took to social media to express his disappointment with fellow artists for what he perceived as a lack of support for A-Reece’s newest album. He accused South African rappers of being jealous of Reece suggesting a lack of camaraderie within the industry.

“I actually just realised that not many Hip Hop artists in South Africa are sharing the P2 album. Is it because they’re not listening to the album? Is it out of Jealousy? Or Is it because they’re not part of the features? I mean it’s the number 1 Hip Hop album.” Said DJ Clen.

However, his remarks were met with sharp criticism from Ex-Global, an artist and former member of the “The Wrecking Crew” collective, known for his bold opinions and unapologetic demeanour. Ex-Global called out DJ Clen, denouncing his statements as shortsighted and hypocritical.

Hip hop & politics, Does Reece share other artists albums when they drop? You don’t see them crying on the net asking people if it’s jealousy? leave the politics and enjoy the music.” Ex-Global said.

Despite the apparent lack of backing from other South African rappers, A-Reece‘s latest album has still garnered significant attention on various music streaming platforms. The unwavering support from the Slimes community has been outstanding, propelling the album to over 1 million streams on Spotify within the first day of its release.
