This time around African hip hop fans who are big fans of rappers Nasty c and Sarkodie got entangled on a tense debate. As one would expect it was an argument on who is better than who, passions flared as each fan put forward a view supporting their favourite.
Sarkodie and Nasty C are two of the most successful rappers in Africa. Each has won a number of awards in their countries and internationally.
Sarkodie’s contribution in music in Ghana earned him numerous accolades, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Award for Artiste of the Decade. He is the only rapper in Africa to have been nominated the most at the BETs and actually won numerous times. His achievements also include being one of the top artists with the highest following, highest YouTube views on music videos and music that gone Platinum ever since he broke into the industry.
Nasty C is like a household name in SA hip hop, at the age of 22 he is the most awarded rapper from SA internationally. From BETs, AFRIMMAs, SAHHAs and SAMAs at least the Gods Flow rapper dominates. He is now leading as an artist with the most views and subscribers on YouTube in SA hip hop. In 2018 he was awarded with a YouTube Silver Play Button plaque.
