AKA Opens Up About His Relationship With DJ Zinhle & How She Influenced His 7x Platinum Selling Album ‘Levels’. In the midst of all the scandal surrounding the love life of AKA, he spoke very fondly of the mother of his child DJ Zinhle.

Social media was in a buzz last week when it learned that AKA might have left Zinhle for another woman again. A number of tweeps said he doesn’t respect the DJ at all, pointing out how he still has ex Bonang’s images on his social media pages and how he posted an image of another woman soon after confirming the split Zinhle never confirmed.

To rid fans of the ideas that he disrespects DJ Zinhle he mentioned the positive effect she has had on his career and shared a bit on how they met.

“We got booked for this gig and I was so excited that she was booked for that gig coz’ I was like ‘Ohhh Yes!’. And you know … she didn’t let me hit it on the first date though […] But I got her eventually [LOL],” AKA speaking to Helen Herimbi on her YouTube channel.

AKA confirmed that he and Zinhle had indeed split late last year in an interview on Metro FM.

“It’s been a crazy start to the year, I had to go away. I went on holiday. I was just speaking off-air that I went on a very cold holiday. As people might have noticed it’s my first holiday being a single man for many, many years,” he said. 

During the interview with Herimbi he added on to grant credits to the impact Zinhle on his best selling album LEVELS.
