Zingah Gets Candid About His Situation With Riky Rick

Zingah Gets Candid About His Situation With Riky Rick. There was a point in the SA Hip Hop history book where rappers Zingah and Riky Rick were not on the best of terms. The two popular rappers found themselves at loggerheads over a few lines that were said on tracks. Whilst the intention was to never come through with any smoke, lyrics were interpreted and people took offence creating some beef.

Before Zingah was known as Zingah, he went by the name Smashis and Smashis was known to take no-nonsense. The rapper found himself at times getting involved in squabbles but now things have changed and he is able to reflect on moments from the past. Zingah participated in an interview with The Sobering Podcast and spoke candidly about situations that he found himself involved in the SA Hip Hop streets. One of the situations was when Zingah clashed with Riky.

Zingah explained what sparked the tiff and also shared how the two bumped into each other and spoke on their situation. “I made niggas feel a way but that Riky thing. I think back then we had put out the stay scheming thing with AKA. So AKA was beefing with tido at that time and he said tido’s name but it wasn’t even a diss. So they did a stay scheming, it was Tito, Maggz and Riky. Riky was the one popping off on the joint. So that kind of became smoke it was like damm that’s weird because we didn’t even know we had smoke. But niggas was vela at the time ready to pop off and we wasn’t even going after niggas too. On the joint, I just rapped and they were kind of even jabbing at us so it was like oh damm. But that was never too real a thing. But even then I did kind of stand firm on that,” Zingah explained.

The Sobering Podcast host Kabelo Moremi went on to remind Zingah about a Hype magazine interview that he did, and said a few things aimed at Riky Rick. Zingah shared that Riky was not pleased with him for speaking about him in the interview and made sure he knew that when they bumped into each other. “Yo, Riky approached me, he did not appreciate that at all. He approached me outside the club coming out of Lattinova, he was like yo how could you say all that and I was like what? Why would you go out there and say all that, I went out there and said that. So that’s what we are and we had like weird vibes for a while but we good. Riky’s a real nigga,” shared Zingah.
