Cassper On SA Radio Stations Playing American Hip Hop!

Cassper On SA Radio Stations Playing American Hip Hop! Former SABC CEO Hlaudi Motsoeneng once introduced 90 local air play on SABC radio stations but it seems this was not a success as Cassper has vented his frustrations with local radio stations playing more American hip hop.

Cassper recently took to twitter to express his dissatisfaction over the lack of local hip hop air play by local radio stations. In the post the Good For That rapper highlighted that he had been listening to radio and realized that radio stations were playing more American hip hop. He questioned whether there wasn’t enough SA hip hop to be played on radio stations.

“Been listening to the radio the past 2 days and there’s so much American hip hop on radio man. Like, how did we get back here? Thought we made it over this hill. Isn’t there enough African hip hop out there? Cassper tweeted.

Some tweeps who commented on the post blamed artists like Cassper who failed to support Hlaudi Motsoeneng who propagated the 90% local policy but was sacked out of SABC.
