Having talented people write the material has boost many careers. For such reason a record label which was interested in Nicki Minaj saw it fitting for her to get a ghostwriter.

On the latest Full Force Interview on the The BreakFast Show it was shared how she turned down a record deal. Reason for such was that she wasn’t ready to have her creativity undermined.

“At the time [they] wanted Juelz Santana to write for her and she refused,” he said. “Nicki always had a thing about writing her own sh*t.” They thought it was an impressive move for the unknown artist because they knew she was “hungry” but wouldn’t compromise on who she was an artist—and she even passed on the opportunity while having “a little crush on Juelz.”
