“African Union is a joke” – Says AKA
The African Union (AU) has came under fire from AKA who has shown disappointment at it’s failure to deal with regional and continental issues that has ranged in this year alone from the Zim crisis and most recently the Nigerian SARS issue.
The rapper did not mince his words with a tweet that read “The African Union is a joke. What’s worse, is that Cyril Ramaphosa is its President.” these tweet were a build up from his #EndSARS tweet which read “How can a government have no regard for the life of its citizens. How can people shoot to KILL there own countrymen and women? This is insane. We are living in an insane time in human history. #EndSARS Sending LOVE & STRENGTH to NAIJA.”
African leader were further blamed for not calling out other African leaders in a tweet that read “AFRICAN LEADERS ABSOLUTELY SUCK AT CALLING OUT OTHER AFRICAN LEADERS BECAUSE ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY.”
End Special Anti-Robbery Squad (End SARS) or #EndSARS is a decentralized social movement against police brutality in Nigeria. The slogan calls for an end to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a controversial unit of the Nigerian Police Force with a long record of abuses.
