#TheBraaiShowWithCass Still To Go Ahead. There may be a legal storm brewing around season two of The Braai Show but it seems that the show will still be coming to screens in September. The legal matter between the parties involved has gone as far as AKA demanding that the show not be aired until the matter is resolved.

Cassper has tried to keep things neutral when it comes to the show, only speaking on issues that concern him. The rapper’s latest tweet implies that The Braai Show will air on SABC 1 as scheduled. Since the announcement that the rapper would be hosting the show a legal battle between the show’s former host AKA and production company, Cake Media.

Johnny Malepa, who is responsible for the creative direction of season two of The Braai Show, tweeted that the TV commercial for the show has been edited and he is just waiting for Cassper to post, to which the rapper said they should do it next week. “A re be shape next week. #TheBraaiShowWithCass”, tweeted the rapper in response to Johnny saying, “Re edit’ile TV Commercial, re emetse wena to post’e @casspernyovest”.

When a tweep said that Cassper stole the idea, he responded and let the fan known that he was offered a show and stole no ideas and took a cheque home. “Didn’t steal any idea, i was offered a show, I took the cheque and made some demands of top of the cheque. It’s just business, only the strong will survive ouchea!!!! I must deny a pay cheque cause Lesego says so ? Hahaha nka tswa matlho a 4. #TheBraaiShowWithCass coming soon” tweeted the rapper.

The latest update in The Braai Show saga is that Cake Media has served AKA with a legal letter demanding that he retract his comment that he owns 50% of the show and also demanded that he apologies by 1pm on Monday, 16 August. The rapper has not done this at the time of publishing.

“Executive producers of the television show, The Braai Show with Cassper Nyovest are demanding AKA (Kiernan Forbes) to retract all comments, accusations and allegations made on all of his social media platforms regarding the show and his purported ownership by 1pm on Monday, 16 August. He must also apologise for the damage he has caused as a consequence of his actions,” read in part the statement.
