Multi award winning rapper Drake lays his head to rest on the daily on a mattress that could feed the entire nation.
Drake’s luxurious possessions were put on full display in the most recent Architectural Digest cover story. The rapper is no stranger to the good life as he gave fans an inside look at his 50,000-square-foot mansion in his hometown of Toronto, showing off his flashy belongings including his R,9 million custom made bed.
The OVO rapper mentioned “The bedroom is where I come to decompress from the world at the end of the night and where I open my eyes to seize the day. The bed lets you float …”
Adolfsson who is the designer of the mattress revealed each Hästens mattress is intended to last between 50-100 years, and is made from natural material such as horse hair, wool, cotton, and flax.
When asked what makes the mattresses so expensive, Adolfsson said, “The more horse hair allows for the bed to conform more, and allows for the bed to breathe more. That is the general things. If we look at the beds from $10,000 and up to $390,000, it’s a very big difference in the amount of materials in the beds.”
According to the designer, a team is sent to a customer’s house three to five times a year to flip and massage the mattress. Adolfsson said the Grand Vividus weighs almost half a ton and took approximately 600 hours to make.
The rapper also gave us a glimpse of his enormous house in the video of his recent hit song which has become the number 1 TikTok sensation ‘Toosie Slide’ which left many of us wishing.
