Nadia Nakai Explains Why She Couldn’t Make “More Drugs” At 22

Nadia Nakai Explains Why She Couldn’t Make “More Drugs” At 22. Award winning rapper Nadia Nakai has faced a number of challenged regarding her single More Drugs.

From all the drama that surrounded it upon its release, she now reveals more issues that came with it. The song existed way back when she was 22 but couldn’t be released.

On a recent Instagram chat the sassy stat laid down reasons that prevented her from dropping it when it was done.

“More Drugs came after 8 years, I wasn’t dropping an emotional song that would throw out my whole career and it doesn’t mean that people couldn’t reason with me because the people who were reason with me were listening to me even when I wasn’t talking about it in the music. I had to grow and go through those experiences and become a woman that I am today in order to pull off a song like More Drugs.

“And sometimes when you a forcing a person to be emotional and open prematurely they not getting real you cause they don’t know who the fuck they are. You can’t expect me at 22 to have made a song like More Drug or Kreatures, there’s no way because I couldn’t comprehend what the fuck that meant. I wouldn’t have been able to put that in a song because of the experiences that I didn’t have,” she said.

More Drugs was initially banned airplay but the decision was reversed when the video dropped and big channels such as Trace, Channel O and MTV Base started playing it.
