Rapper and philanthropist Kiernan Forbes has publicly addressed his sentiments regarding the use of Corona Virus firstly on Africans. This comes after news that Soweto has performed its first testing phase of the vaccine.
According to TimesLIVE 8 people from the Gauteng township Soweto have underwent the trial phase of the covid vaccine. All this is despite an outrage accompanied with questions of why Africa with lesser number of cases became the first place to test the vaccine.
The trial is being run from three undisclosed medical facilities in Gauteng, in conjunction with researchers from Oxford University in the UK, Wits University and the SA Medical Research Council (SAMRC). Medical scientists from Brazil and the US are also involved in the trial.
AKA shared how displeased he was by such actions and questioned people for keeping quiet.
The aim of the trial is to find a vaccine for the deadly coronavirus, which to date has infected over 106,000 South Africans and killed more than 2,100 people.
