Court Pronounces Pitch Black Afro Guilty Of Culpable Homicide. Throwback Hip hop artist Pitch Black Afro real name Thulani Ngcobo has been long awaiting his sentence and the verdict has finally been reached.

The court has ruled the rapper guilty on a charge of culpable homicide for the killing of his wife Catherine Modisane. However, Ngobo has not been found guilty for defeating the ends of justice.

Ngcobo has been standing trial at the South Gauteng High Court since being accused of killing his wife at a bed-and-breakfast establishment in Yeoville, Johannesburg in 2018.

Judge J du Plessis said that the state could did not prove beyond doubt that the rapper planned to murder his wife. It was then concluded from the postmortem report that Modisane died from blunt-force trauma to the head. 

“He presented himself as a poor witness under questions from the state” says Judge J du Plessis.

Pitch Black Afro then admitted that the police officials coerced him into acknowledging the crime against him and he is not going to take it lightly.

“”I won’t take this lying down. Bayang’sukela.. They’ve wasted one-and-a-half years of my life,” he said. won’t take this lying down” he said
