K.O Explains Why He Hasn’t Mentioned Anything About Former Cashtime Life Signee Maggz
K.O Explains Why He Hasn’t Mentioned Anything About Former Cashtime Life Signee Maggz. In the pursuit of building his career after departing from Teargas group rapper K.O established a record label he titled Cashtime Life.
Cashtime consisted of the likes of Moozlie, KiD X, Maggz, Ma-E, DJ Vigilante and Masandi. When artists left he was compelled to shut down which drove him to depression. Speaking to Drum Magazine the Caracara star revealed how greatly affected he was.
“Shutting down Cashtime Life felt like I was being forced to walk away from a piece of history,” he said.
“And I didn’t manage the scrutiny properly. I didn’t realise that my silence was feeding the gossip. I kick myself for not clearing the air. But we’ve moved on.”
At his new company, Skhanda World, K.O mentions things are going to be done very differently.
“This time it will be a lot more formal and a lot more corporate. I will be the president of the machine and unlike Cashtime, people won’t deal with me directly.
“I’m not babysitting anyone. We are offering the platform [to artists] without spoon feeding them,” he addressed newcomers.
He recently tweeted : “Been building/re-building from scratch, no connections, no inheritance and no financial backing. Just God, work ethic and personal sacrifice. Long way to go but hell or high water destiny will be fulfilled.”
Since Maggz has been one of his proteges a fan asked why he never mentions him anymore. By this the fan wanted to know if there could be any collaboration between them in future.
“I wanna see him win too as a fan, he’s his own man though I’m sure he’ll figure it out,” he explained.
