Sho Madjozi Says Burna Boy Made Stormzy Take Down The ‘Own It’ Remix After She Got Nominated Alongside Him For BET International Act Award. Award winning rapper Sho Madjozi decided to finally open up about what prevented the Own It Remix from dropping even after it was completed.

The John Cena took to Twitter to share that Nigerian star Burna Boy was the reason the song featuring also Stormzy from the UK didn’t reach the audiencee. On a lengthy thread she explained that when Burna found out they were nominated for the the same award at the BET he ordered Stormz to take down the song.

“For those asking where the #Ownitremix is, after I got nominated alongside him for BET Best International Act, Burna boy asked Stormzy’s team to take down the song immediately,” she wrote.

Sho added that the song wasn’t available just two days after she won the award.

“I could be wrong. Maybe he has other reasons. But BET announcement was on June 15th and by June 17th I was getting complaints from fans saying they can’t find it.Either way, spirits up.”
