Toya Delazy Experiences A High Rise In Number of Streams For Her New Single ‘Qhawe’. Towards the end of last year KwaZulu Natal born star Toya Delazy who now soars on an international scale revealed she invented her own music genre.

The genre is called Afro Rave and she has since released a few songs possessing its unique sound, the latest offering of the year was actually back in March. The single titled Qhawe has been one of the songs where she channels the spirit of being Zulu and expresses her views regarding certain important matters.

The single has a growing number of over 100 000 streams on Spotify. For a while she was criticized and called a has-been by some South Africans, what they didn’t know is how the rapper is still a fresh artist to various audiences across the world.

“QHAWE out now on all music platforms : I had to be my own hero (iQhawe in Zulu) and realised that it’s often when times are darkest we see what we truly made of.. Qina #Qhawe !!! #AfroRave,” he wrote.

Qhawe may be in Zulu but her raps come in different forms and languages.
