AKA Confronts The OG’s In The SA Music Industry For Lacking Leadership Amidst Covid-19 Pandemic

AKA Confronts The OG’s In The SA Music Industry For Lacking Leadership Amidst Covid-19 Pandemic. Supa Mega has once more used the social platform to express views on the lack of contribution of fellow musicians in the industry.

According to AKA none of the OG’s in the music industry have played part in displaying leadership ever since the pandemic hit the country. His concern was on how their quietness would affect the art industry greatly. All this comes after the Department Of Arts & Culture released a statement which reads as follows:

“All these people we call “OG’s” in the music industry are quiet as FUCK with regards to how to lead us during this pandemic. An absolute void of leadership. What is to become of our artists and their livelihoods?

“If we don’t do something serious, the arts will also be a casualty of this pandemic,” wrote Mega.

On the numerous times the President have made speeches concerning the pandemic there hasn’t been any mention about the art industry. Level 3 still doesn’t allow live performances such as concerts and tours. This has been 4 months since artist haven’t been able to regulate income through the aforementioned means.

Mega went on to share his views on the state of the country and how the government has been handling the matter.

“Now, in that interim period of national disaster … what will lets say, a singer(who uses auto tune btw) … tell his bank who demand car and house payments/ or tell staff who need salaries?” He questioned.

He added : “Ok, so … 80% of this document refers to sports and guidelines pertaining to sports. Where is a CLEAR PLAN for the preservation of THE ARTS & those dependent on THE ARTS for their SURVIVAL?”

AKA revealed last week that he tested positive for the Corona virus.
