AKA Reacts To Having The Most BET Nominations In Southern Africa! SupaMega didn’t get a nomination for the BET Awards 2020 but he is still leading in nominations as far as Southern African artists go.
Whilst Sho Madjozi represented Southern Africa which she lost to now rival Burna Boy, AKA has been nominated three times for the International Act Award at the BET Awards. He is still yet to win it.
The Monuments rapper took to twitter reacting to this record he set saying, “Only 1 Southern African Artist in this list. Imagine.” It’s worth noting this includes all genres not only hip hop. The only Southern Africa artist who has won the Award is DJ Black Coffee.
After a twitter user asked why he hasn’t brought up one back home, AKA blamed it on the haters and the AKAwinanga hashtag.
