Uzalo Reportedly Set To Withdraw From Casting Sjava, Here’s Why. Over a month ago reports flooded in stating that SA’s most loved telenovela will cast BET award winning singer Sjava.
The news excited many people, especially those who know of his acting abilities from Zone 14 and UGugu NoAndile.
There wasn’t any news yet on what character he will portray and why. What people awaited was for their screens to be filled with “indoda ekhalela umawayo”. Unfortunately before people even got to sight him from the show reports by close sources revealed that the soap opera might axe the ATM member.
The reason behind the cancellation of his casting was reportedly linked to the past rape allegations brought against him by songstress Lady Zamar. The allegations disappeared into thin air to a point where it is still unknown if the accusations were factual, what we had was a mere he-say-she-say.
It seems Uzalo is taking the steps Mpumalanga beauty pageant, Jazz Festival and DSTV took ealier on when the allegations dominated the net.
Sjava hasn’t yet responded to the news.
At the dawn of his allegations Sjava released a lengthy statement dismissing and denying everything, he even made a counter charge of defamation against Zamar.
