Tellaman Explains Why He Won’t Be Releasing Any Song Like ‘Whipped’ Anymore. When Tellman came through with a hit single Whipped he woke up the R&B side in SA. Unfortunately they may never be another single like it.
Having Twitter as the most convenient platform to interact with fans, Tellaman addressed one of the followers that he won’t be releasing any song like Whipped. His reason was that there could never be another remake for Whipped.
“Tellaman is not gonna do another whipped. Nobody can,” he wrote. “Unfortunately I won’t grow if I try to recreate my past. Hopefully you’ll mess with the music I’ll be dropping soon.”
Whipped is one of the best selling songs in SA since it released in 2018, it recently went 7x Platinum.
The timeline of his success is something he has been the most proudest of considering where he comes from.
“Only a few can say they approached a 15 year old kid & told him that they don’t have money but they believe in his talent & they can produce music for him if his down. And years later that same kid is all grown up & doing well for himself and they want nothing in return.”
