Zakwe, Duncan, Big Zulu & Uzalo’s Wiseman Team Up For A New Record. Just when we thought the year was getting worse with all these horrifying occurrences, a remedy gets created by the four KZN man who have brought nothing to the media but originality.
On a recently posted tweet the Zulu rap heavyweights Duncan, Zakwe and Big Zulu confirmed that they’ve been cooking up new music together. Joining them is Uzalo actor Wiseman who portrays the character of Sbonelo a gangster’s son who joins his father in the ‘field’. Not much has been shared about the upcoming record but seeing how far these artists have come, one can only expect a platinum worthy joint.
Big Zulu only officially joined the industry less than 5 years ago debuting on Isibaya, he used the spotlight he received to introduce his music. To his luck he didn’t have to do much to prove himself because the way raps drip off his pores is still a mystery to many. He recently got nominated at the SAMAs for his debut album Unqgongqoshe Wongqgongqoshe. He many not have scooped an award but he gained higher recognition which earned an endorsement deal with Spitz.
Zakwe has been gracing the industry for over 10 years now having released hits such as Sebentini, Roots and Bathi Ngyachoma to mention a few he never deflated even when he didn’t attain plaques. Proving that hard work eventually pays off no matter when, the .. rapper’s album Cebisa went gold. All this a proof of how his musical talent compares to nothing. In the process he initiated a course to help advance upcoming artists in the hip hop industry.
Duncan has been that rapper who never for once diluted his around to accommodate any artist or audience. His raw Zulu raps recently earned him a nomination at the Simon Mabhunu Sabela KZN Film & TV awards for Sikelela featuring Thee Legacy and AmaWeave featuring Prince Bulo.
As fans stated, the wait isn’t easy because even though it’s not yet dropped it feels like a certified gold.
