The 2 Rappers Who Made The Top 10 Most Streamed SA Artists On Spotify By Local Gen Z Audiences. In the SA music industry what has been clear is that some genres appeal to more audiences than some. In some cases, there are unexpected artists who make the cut while some feel others should make the list. It is also clear that Amapiano had quickly taken over Hip-Hop in some aspects.

A-Reece Speaks On The Process Behind Creating 'HIBACHI' Off His Latest Mixtape

A Top 10 list of the most streamed artists in South Africa for ages 13-17 was recently released by Spotify. It was reported that the list was released in celebration of Youth Day that South Africa celebrated on the 16th of June annually.

The list was certainly dominated by Amapiano artists with Mr JazziQ securing the top spot. There were only two SA rappers that were on the list and the first was A-Reece. The HIBACHI rapper was third on the list of the most streamed SA artists. A-Reece released his Today’s Tragedy: Tomorrow’s Memory: The Mixtape project in March. The project featured the likes of Stogie T, Belo Salo, Wordz, Jay Jody, and Ayanda Jiya.

The second rapper to appear on the list was none other than award winning rapper Nasty C. Nasty C currently has a total of 648 000 + listeners on Spotify. His last project release was in 2020 when he dropped Zulu Man With Some Power featuring Ari Lennox, T.I, Rowlene, Lil Gotit and Lil Keed. He also did a collaboration with Blxckie on his track Ye x 4.

Unfortunately for SA Hip Hop there are no Hip-Hop songs on the Top 10 most streamed songs with only amapiano tracks filling up the list. DBN Gogo‘s Khuza Gogo tops the list with Musa Keys’ Vula Mlomo in second place. Those two songs have Apple Music’s charts and continue to be loved by all South Africans.
