How SA Rappers Reacted To SAMAs26 Hip Hop Nominees. South African Music Awards released a list of nominees earlier this week and as expected it sparked major debates. Rappers and fans shared their opinions, most of them of how displeased they are by the choices of nominees.
The category that had people talking was the one of Best Hip Hop album. The debates were on who deserved to be nominated, certain artists called out the SAMAs for being tribalistic, sexist and bias.
Those who got recognition were more than happy to share their excitement, after all win lose being selected in a list of long talented artists isn’t easy. Nominated acts include Tshego, Nasty C, AKA, Yanga Chief, Tellaman, DJ Sliqe, Big Zulu and K.O to say the least.
