“Base Hottest MCs is shitt*ng on SA Hip Hop,” Rashid Kay. The chaos around who is the best rapper in SA is becoming more intense by day leading up to the complete Top 10 list of this year’s best MCs. Like most years, it’s not leaving everyone impressed.
The MTV Hottest Base MCs started evoking controversy when the panel of judges were announced. The list includes Nota, Metro FM’s Kyeezi, Yfm’s Lula Odiba, Zkhiphani’s Mandisa Ntsinde, and Hip Hop DJs DJKaymo and DJ Venom.
Rashid Kay expressed that he was appointed to be part of the list but refused because he didn’t want to. He later expressed how the show is undermining SA Hip Hop.
He declined and didn’t want to be part of it. https://t.co/aTOMG8Md5P
