5 of SA’s Youngest Rappers Dominating The Game. As the years go by, SA rappers are getting younger and younger but it seems that the younger they are the more fire they produce. The young generation of the hip-hop game are putting a bit of pressure on the older ones. Here is a list of five of SA’s youngest rappers right now.

  1. Priddy Prince – 15

Priddy Prince is the youngest rapper on the list at just 15 years old. All the way from Cape Town he is making waves on the scene. He broke out into SA hip-hop after releasing his freestyle over DJ Mustard and Roddy Rich’s Ballin’ and has received love from Ms Cosmo and DJ Speedsta.

2. Blxckie – 19

 Hailing from Durban, Blxckie made waves with his track Big Time Sh’lappa featuring LucasRaps. He has been mentioned in OkayAfrica’s ’13 South African Artists to look out for in 2021′ and he featured on Rouge’s New Wave Popular Remix. Through the rapper’s Instagram stories and lives, we could expect something from him soon.

3. Indigo Stella – 19

Indigo Stella was featured on the Base Hottest MCs New Wave list for 2021 as number six above Maglera Doe Boy. The young rapper won the hearts of many after her album release Indigo in 2019. She was nominated for Best Freshman and Best Female at the SA Hip Hop Awards in 2020.

4. Hanna – 21

Singer, songwriter and rapper Hanna also known as ‘the girl in the durag’ has shown that she can easily outrap her competition. She was number nine on the Base Hottest MC’s New Wave List for 2021. After its release her mixtape The Girl in The Durag achieved more than 100 000 streams collectively on Apple Music and Spotify.

5. J Molley – 22

J Molley has been in the rap game for some time now and has worked with hip-hop’s biggest names, namely DJ Speedsta, Stogie T and Riky Rick. The rapper released his All is Fair in Love & War album in 2020 with hit single Ang’na Stress featuring Costa Titch and Yanga Chief. Fans could expect new music from him soon.
