AKA explains why Fikile Mbalula is one of the best leaders in South Africa. Award Winning Rapper and now television host of his own show ‘The Braai Show with AKA’ interacts with fans on Twitter regularly engaging in debates about his music, current affairs or even South African politics.

Recently, the Fela in Versace hitmaker debated with fans about his feeling toward Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula. He began the debate by stating that he feels Mbalula is one of the best leaders South Africa has ever had. A fan replied to the interaction and said, “Mbalula is very energetic and he makes sure you know he is in charge of what ever position his on a very vocal leader but i can’t say his number are good or bad interms of his overall performance at his job.

 The rapper replied to the fan by explaining why he thinks the Minister is a good leader. AKA wrote, “What I like most about him is that he is one of the few people in positions of power that you can actually interact with on social media”.

Fans had mixed responses toward the rapper’s opinion about the Minister of Transport.

When another fan had questioned AKA’s support of members of the ANC and the party itself AKA wrote, “It’s okay to believe in someone and something and then change your mind when it doesn’t live up to your expectations. It happens”.

Fikile Mbalula made an appearance on AKA’s show ‘The Braai Show with AKA’ on SABC 1.

In 2019, the rapper showed his support for the ANC when President Cyril Ramaphosa launched a social media campaign to acquire the support of more voters through the fans of celebrities. AKA was one of the celebrities who were apart of the social media campaign.
