“Awards and nominations don’t mean shit,” Gemini Major On SAHHA Nominating The Same Artists Every Year. What has been an easy prediction over the years is how SA Hip Hop Awards are often followed by controversy upon announcing nominated acts.
While some artists are rejoicing at being recognized for their year’s work, some expressed feeling a little bit disregarded including the likes of YoungstaCPT, BenchMarq’s TKay, Tyler and Mass The Difference. One other artists who expressed how not impressed he was by the nominees was Gemini Major.
“Awards and nominations don’t mean shit bro ,Never get offended,Nevr lose sleep over it .You’reon of the most hard working people I know ,The universe will reward you ,SAHHA AWARD is nothing close to what you deserve for your contribution,” said Gemini consoling DJ Double D.
He went on to add that he last submitted his work to the awards in 2018.
“I haven’t submitted since 2018, But I have a team that does that without me having a say ,I don’t even know how many records I worked for me to even be nominated, I stopped working towards that a long time ago,” he added.
